Worship and Music Matters Team

Worship and music matters are central to the mission actions of this faith community. Persons gifted in worship and music matters join with the staff to plan regular and occasional worship opportunities for Sundays, midweek, alternative and special days. We are guided by the liturgical seasons, Lutheran confessions and Lutheran theology. This team also includes altar guild, worship space and resource preparation, greeters, usher and special music. We worship in person at 9:30 on Sunday morning; livestream on Facebook; posts on our FB page and YouTube. Special midweek services during Advent/Lent /Holy Week on line, in person and parking lot radio broadcast.

Faith Formation Team

This is a Christian education ministry which assists persons to perceive and respond to their baptismal call of proclaiming the love of God through Jesus Christ. We seek to offer cross generation faith formation experiences consistent with the vision and mission of this faith community and inclusive of the diversity of the neighboring community. We offer Sunday Adult Lectionary Study, Wednesday Believers Bible Study, Sunday/Tuesday Table Talks and Bible Stories for Children at our Fall Festival, Easter Egg Hunt and Vacation Bible School.

Mission and Stewardship Team

This team engages this congregation’s efforts to address social, economic and emotional needs within the congregation and the community at large. We endeavor to strengthen, support and engage individuals, groups and community partners in response to various needs of the community. Some of our partners include ELCA World Hunger, Lutheran Social Services, Christian Clearing House, Chopin Hall, City Mission, Open Arms Domestic Violence Services and Habitat for Humanity whom we join with to address hunger, homelessness, abuse and mental health in our community. We also offer a visitation ministry for the elderly, sick and shut-in.

Finance/Mission Endowment Fund Team

This team exercises oversight of all the financial affairs of the congregation, including the congregation’s investments and insurance, ensuring that all matters are conducted prudently and in accordance with general accepted best practices. They prepare a budget draft for the succeeding year and submit a report to the annual meeting for the previous year.

Property Team

This team sees to the proper maintenance and protection of all property of the congregation, and takes care that the same is kept in good repair. They also coordinate and oversee custodial services, repairs, improvements, and renovations.
