We are filled with gratitude for the many years that Lutheran Social Services (LSS) offered counseling and food pantry services here in Findlay. When LSS made the difficult decision to close their local offices, a season of prayer and discernment began.
Out of that shared sense of call, the Blessing Basket food pantry was born—a new ministry rooted in faith, hope, and love. This pantry is made possible through the collaborative efforts of local Lutheran churches, including First Lutheran, Trinity Lutheran – Findlay, St. John’s – McComb, St. Paul’s Lutheran – Jenera, Good Hope – Arlington, and others who feel called to serve. Together, we are committed to continuing this vital outreach to our neighbors in need.
By God’s grace and with the support of our faith community, the Blessing Basket opened its doors on December 1, 2025, following the closure of the LSS pantry on November 29. We welcome all to visit on Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.—because everyone deserves a place at the table.
